What are my sewing plans…
Well after a long style rut and bit of lost sewjo, I have cleared out the wardrobe and made a list of what I would like in my wardrobe, well, need in my wardrobe.
Now with the holiday season fast approaching, there is a garment or two I will be needing for those events. With that in mind I started a list of things I wanted to make.
First is a pair on pants. Now, with my little shape finding pants to fit and feel good in, has failed! Every time, so I want to make a pair and see if I can finally be comfortable in pants. The pattern I have decided to try is Closet Core Pietra Pants. If these are a hit, I will most likely make them in the wide leg version and the shorts.
Second on my to make list is an Indigo dress but with the add on pack you can get from Tilly & The Buttons website here. The Indigo dress is hands down one of my favourite patterns to make and I am really loving the midi length version of dresses, maybe because I don’t have to tan haha. I have some beautiful cotton sateen from Nerida Hansen I picked up a little while back. The striking large print blue gingham just called my name, normally I am not a blue person but that piece of fabric I could not resist.
Third on the list is a Heather Blazer by Friday Pattern Company in our Linen – Black this is a wardrobe staple that is very much needed.
A few other items are…
The Ellis & Hattie by Merchant & Mills in floral linen from my stash
The Workbook by Merchant & Mills – Heron Top in the Liberty Summer House Conservatory Fruits
The Workbook by Merchant & Mills – Saltmarsh Skirt in some linen from my stash
Eve Dress by Sew Over It in some fabric coming soon to Threaded Village, keep an eye out for this one
Groove Dress by Madeit Patterns (now closed) in Cotton Polyester Knit Black & White Stripe this could become my go to in the warmer months, if it ever warms up currently a week off summer and its freezing cold with rain, hail and very strong winds.
The Pietra Pants and the Indigo Dress are first on the list and I will get to the rest of the list when I can. I am not in any hurry for these but I will be sure to let you know when I have made them.
For now happy sewing everyone
Nerissa x
